An additional activity for you to complete with your child is to create a collage. You can assist him or her in looking for and cutting pictures from magazines to then be glued onto a piece of paper. Emphasize the beginning sound as you glue the picture on. Have your child repeat the sound or word. Model and emphasize the sound again. For additional practice, have your child share their creation with other family members and neighbors. Above all, make it fun! Here are a few samples of what a collage may look like!
